ApexFrame is a USB slideshow player for Android TV and Fire TV. It displays photos, videos, and PDF documents stored on a drive you connect to your television.
ApexFrame collects no data whatsoever.
ApexFrame has no user accounts and no sign-in.
ApexFrame contains no advertising, no analytics, and no crash reporting.
Your photos, videos, and documents never leave your device.
This is not a promise about how we choose to behave. It is a property of how the application is built, and one you can verify for yourself — see Section 2.
On Android, an application can only use the network if it declares the android.permission.INTERNET
permission. ApexFrame does not declare that permission. The operating system therefore prevents
the application from opening any network connection at all.
This means ApexFrame is technically incapable of transmitting your information anywhere, whether to us, to an advertiser, or to anyone else. There is no server to send data to, because there is no ability to reach one.
You do not have to take our word for this. Every application's permissions are published on its store listing. Open the ApexFrame listing on Google Play or the Amazon Appstore, view the permission list, and confirm that internet access does not appear.

We collect no personal information, no usage information, no device identifiers, no diagnostic information, and no content of any kind. Specifically, ApexFrame does not collect:
ApexFrame reads the photos, videos, and PDF documents in the folder you choose, decodes them, and displays them on your television. All of this happens on the device itself.
Your media is never uploaded, copied to any server, backed up by us, indexed by us, or made available to us or to any third party. We have no access to it and no way to obtain it.
ApexFrame does not modify, move, rename, or delete the files on your drive. It only reads them.
ApexFrame stores your preferences — slide duration, transition style, sort order, scaling, overlays, schedule, and which folder you selected — in the application's own private storage on your television. This information stays on that device, is accessible only to ApexFrame, and is removed when you uninstall the application.
If you use the optional Save settings to a drive feature, ApexFrame writes a file named
apexframe.json to a location you choose, so you can copy your settings to another television. That
file contains only your display preferences. It is written to your own storage, at your explicit instruction,
and is never transmitted anywhere.
ApexFrame may also write temporary copies of PDF documents to its private cache in order to display them. These are managed by the application and removed by the operating system when the application's cache is cleared or the application is uninstalled.

None of these permissions grant network access, and none are used to gather information about you.
ApexFrame uses no third-party services. There are no advertising networks, no analytics providers, no crash reporting services, no cloud storage providers, and no data processors. No third party receives any information about you through ApexFrame, because no information is collected or transmitted.
The store you obtained ApexFrame from — Google Play or the Amazon Appstore — operates under its own privacy policy and may collect information about your download and installation. That activity is between you and that store, and is outside our control and our visibility.
We do not sell, rent, share, disclose, or otherwise make available any personal information, because we do not collect any. We have never done so and, given that ApexFrame cannot access the internet, we are not in a position to do so.
ApexFrame is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal information is ever collected, there is nothing to disclose, delete, or restrict in relation to a child's use of the application.
Privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal information, and to know whether it has been sold or shared.
We hold no personal information about you, so there is nothing for us to provide, correct, delete, or transfer, and nothing that could have been sold or shared. Should you wish to remove the preferences ApexFrame keeps on your own television, uninstalling the application deletes them.
You are welcome to contact us to confirm any of the above.
We retain no data about you, so there is no retention period, and no store of your information that could be breached, misused, or subpoenaed from us. The preferences ApexFrame keeps are held in private application storage on your own device and are protected by the operating system's own application sandbox.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Should a future version of ApexFrame ever collect any information at all, that change would be reflected here and in the application's published permission list before it took effect.
